Statement of Purpose
Based on the authority of Scripture, Spring Grove Bible Fellowship exists to Glorify
God, teaching
those who are born-again to
become mature Christians, to
be effective witnesses of the Gospel, to
lead non-believers into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and to
become men & women who will live holy lives.
A Brief History 1984: Pastor
Scott is Born Again!
1988: Weekly Bible Studies
and Community Outreach from a Round
Lake store front are conducted by Pastor Scott. 1989: Thursday night Bible
Study continues in the Barrettsmith home. 1990: Pastor Scott graduates
from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago,
IL. 1996: Thursday
night Bible Study is moved to Indian Hill Chapel, Ingleside, IL.; Pastor Scott is ordained at Indian Hill. Chapel 1998: Spring
Grove Bible Fellowship is formed in May
meeting @ Spring Grove Grade School. Saturday Night Praise & Worship Service begins at Spring Grove
School; midweek Bible
Study continues at Pastor’s Home; BLAST Youth Ministry is born. 1999: Sunday
morning services starts in September @
Spring Grove
Grade School. 2000: Saturday Night Alive
begins the first Saturday of each
month at Spring Grove
Grade School; the Promise Land Project is launched in June with the purchase of 15 acres of
property on Wilmot Road; summer tent meetings begin in June and continue through September; Sunday Worship Services move to 12:30pm @ Community of Faith Church building in
October. 2001: Sunday
morning services move to Richmond-Burton High School on Easter Sunday. 2003: Worship
Services, Church Offices and Youth Ministry move to a former lumber yard in Spring Grove in July. 2006: Move into the new Church
building on Wilmot Road
in January. Praise Jesus!
